3/16/22 – This is an original Kriegsmarine dagger with etched blade, scabbard, and portepee. The blade is double-etched, as shown with crisp, clean etching throughout. The blade is maker stamped on one side of the ricasso. The handle has some mild spots of discoloration but no cracks or chips. The metal fittings have typical patina and signs of aging throughout. The scabbard is in similar condition with no dents. The portepee has some fraying throughout the rope in various areas, but is still attached and the knot is tight. All original and authentic.
