4/17/24 – This is an original Kriegsmarine Officer’s Dagger from WW2. The dagger features an etched blade that’s in excellent overall condition. The etching is on both sides of the blade, and crisp throughout. Minimal surface wear on the blade, and the edges are unsharpened and clean. Maker stamped on one side of the ricasso by WKC. The original red felt stopper is still present at the base of the blade, and the hand guard / pommel show typical surface patina and natural aging. The beige handle has no cracks or chips and a tightly wound metal chord throughout. Attached to the handle is an original portepee, which is in very good overall condition. There’s mild fraying and surface wear on the chord, but the chord is completely intact and the knot is excellent. Comes with an original scabbard that has light surface wear and a few minor dents. Fits the dagger nicely.
