4/12/22 – This is a Kriegsmarine Officer’s Dagger by F.W. Holler made during WW2. The dagger comes with an original scabbard and features a double-etched blade. The engravings feature an anchor, battleships, and floral patterns. The etchings are slightly faded, and not as deep or crisp as other examples we’ve seen, but the blade is still in great overall condition with minimal discoloration and oxidation. No signs of sharpening. The leather stopper is still intact. The orange handle has some dark discoloration throughout, as well as a few small cracks near the base of the handle, where the handle meets the handguard. The pommel and hand guard have surface patina and edge wear throughout. Comes with a nice, original scabbard with a few imperfections, but no major issues. A great piece with some honest wear from use and aging.
