11/8/22 – This is a very nice example of an Erfurt Ortgies Pistol manufactured in the 1910’s and chambered in 7.65mm. This one is all matching, has the proper “Crown N” proofs, and has a “Germany” export marking on the underside of the frame, indicating it was intended for sale in the international commercial market. It has retained about 94-95% of its original finish. There is just minor wear around the muzzle and around the high edges of the slide. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is light spotty oxidation throughout. Very nice period-correct wood grips – very minor bruising here and there, and a “Made in Germany” export marking on the left panel. Also comes with one period-correct factory-nickeled magazine. Very nice bore with good rifling.
