3/28/23 – This is a nice example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2. This is a GI mismatched gun, put together by an American GI when the Walther factory was liberated. All of the parts are mismatched and in the proper “c” serial block, correct for this variation. It also only has one “Eagle 359” military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued. It has a mixture of phosphate and blued parts, also correct for this variation. This one has retained roughly 85% of its original finish with the majority of wear on the front strap. Excellent blackish-brown bakelite grips. Comes with a jvd magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is not functional. Noticeable casting flaw on the front strap – typical for these guns.
