4/20/23 – This is an excellent example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2. This is a GI mismatched gun, put together by an American GI when the Walther factory was liberated. The parts are mismatched and in the proper “c” serial block, correct for this variation. It also only has one “Eagle 359” military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued. This one also has a rare “Eagle 140” marked frame, indicating it was manufactured at the FN factory. This particular gun has retained about 96% of its original finish with some very minor thinning on the front strap and some light spotty wear on the top of the slide, right side of the slide, and around the ejection port. Fitted with nice black plastic grips – some light scuffing on both sides. Comes with a scarce end-of-war “U” marked Walther magazine. The bore is factory-new. De-cocker functions properly.
