2/29/24 – This is a nice example of an end-of-war Steyr BNZ 45 Kriegsmodell rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1945. It is all matching and has the proper characteristics for this variation: “Waffen 623” proofs throughout, mixture of phosphate and blued parts, no bayonet lug, screw-fastened barrel bands, Mauser-made floor plate and trigger assembly. The stock is a replaced reproduction. The metal parts have retained nearly all of their finish with some areas of light spotty oxidation here and there. The wood furniture is nice overall, but there is a hairline crack in the upper handguard. Comes with a period-correct leather sling. The bore has good rifling, but there is spotty surface oxidation throughout.
