3/28/24 – This is an excellent example of an end-of-war Steyr BNZ 45 Kriegsmodell rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1945. It is all matching and has the proper characteristics for this variation: “Waffen 623” proofs throughout, mixture of phosphate and blued parts (this one is almost entirely phosphate), no bayonet lug, screw-fastened barrel bands, Mauser-made floor plate and trigger assembly. One waffen proof on the right side of the butt stock (very faint). The metal parts have retained nearly all of their finish with some areas of spotty discoloration/oxidation here and there (typical for these finishes). Excellent wood furniture. Mint bore.
