3/28/23 – This is an original WW2 German Army Dagger. This example is made by Eickhorn and comes with an original silver portepee. The dagger blade is in great condition with some minor “cloudiness” or mild surface patina and slightly discolored speckling mostly near the tip. Evident cross-graining throughout. The hand guard and pommel still retain some of the original finish within the grooves, and the high edges have typical surface patina. The bakelite handle has no cracks or chips. The scabbard is in excellent condition with mild surface patina and some of the finish still intact. The portepee has mild fraying on the rope and an excellent, tight knot.
