05/13/2024 – For sale is an early Winchester M1 Garand made in 1942 at the Winchester Arsenal and sold through CMP. The rifle is in about 90% condition and the finish is has a good amount of wear. The stock is in great condition and free of any cracks or breaks. The upper handguard furniture has been replaced from CMP but the lower stock is from Rock River Arsenal. The bore is very bright and good rifling with a muzzle erosion rating of 5.5 and a throat erosion rating of 3. The serial number puts this rifle manufactured in 1942. The barrel is marked SA 12-43. The breakdown of the parts marking is included in the photos. The rifle comes with a CMP hardcase, a sling, and the CMP Cetrificate.
