8/10/20 – This is an original WW1 era bayonet that was reworked for use during WW2 as well. The bayonet is 1906 dated and made by Springfield armory, as shown. the bayonet was reworked for WW2 and given a new scabbard, as is currently with the blade. Also the handle would have been replaced to brown plastic from wood. The brown plastic is excellent, and the earlier variation as opposed to later black. The blade is excellent condition with some minor wear near the tip. Very nice overall and fairly scarce.
