12/16/22 – This is an early / pre WW2 production Type 30 Japanese bayonet by Tokyo Arsenal. The bayonet features a bright blade, Variation A handle, and is stamped with a “W” under the Tokyo Arsenal stamp on the ricasso. The blade is lightly sharpened about 2/3rds of the way down the edge and in great overall condition. There’s some mild surface oxidation but no rust or pitting, nor any chips or issues along the edge. The hilt has surface patina and dark discoloration. The wood grips have some mild aging and typical signs of use wear. Comes with a metal scabbard in excellent condition and a 3 piece leather frog. The closure buckle on the frog is broken, but otherwise the frog is in good condition with all original leather and stitching. A scarce, early T30 bayonet.
