05/07/2024 – For sale is a very early Model 1903 rifle produced in 1904 at the Springfield Arsenal. This rifle is in great condition for its age. The metal has a fine layer of patina but is free of any corrosion or rust. The stock is also in great condition and free of any cracks but there is some material broken away on the left side in front of the magazine cutoff lever. The left side of the stock is stamped with a 1904 acceptance. The barrel is Marked SA 05. The bore is bright with great rifling but it does get darker towards the muzzle.
