3/23/22 – This is a scarce, early Springfield Armory M1903 rifle from 1905. It’s all original and correct with the early blued finish. Proper early stock with no reinforcing bolts, which is a proper feature of the early stock. Other early features include the smaller windage knob and no sight groove in the handguard. Springfield Armory with ’05 barrel date. Bolt features the steel lot code. Thinning and/or patina on all metal surfaces. Bore has good rifling but some frost throughout. Stock is E.L.H. inspector marked with circle P proof on wrist. Stock is in good condition with no notable defects.
