10/11/22 – This is a very nice example of an early Springfield M1 Garand. The serial number dates to 1939. However, this one was reworked after the war at the Raritan Arsenal, as evidenced by the “RA” marking on the left side of the butt stock. Some of the parts were replaced, such as the barrel which is SA marked and dated January of 1965. The gun is in very nice condition overall. There is not much actual finish loss, just some general high edge wear. The wood stock is nice with only minor dings and bruises. Mint bore. Muzzle reading: 1. Throat reading: 1.
