3/29/23 – This is an early variation SA Dagger with an original scabbard and leather hanger. The dagger blade is maker stamped by Carl Bender, one of the more scarce manufacturers for these daggers. The blade has excellent cross-graining and is in great overall condition with some typical surface rub wear / scabbard scratches. There’s also mild speckling discoloration patina, mostly near the base of the blade. The metal fittings are solid nickel and non-magnetic. The handle has some mild flaking near the top where the wood meets the pommel on the front, but is otherwise excellent. The early anodized brown scabbard has light surface patina throughout but no major dents or issues. The leather hanger has surface wrinkling and mild cracking throughout, and the clip is unmarked. A very nice early exmaple.
