5/22/20 – This is an original, early style P.38 magazine that has a replaced follower and base plate. The magazine tube is stamped P.38 on the side, and has two eagle/359 military proof stamps. These are two early features. The follower is a later / end of war style known as a “ribbed” follower. The base plate is slightly loose and has some minor play. The finish on the tube is mostly gone, but there is not any serious rust or pitting. Still functions fine with a strong spring.
