11/8/24 – This is an original Takedown style Luftwaffe Gravity Knife. The takedown style knives are the earlier wartime variation of Gravity knife and feature a square button for easily disassembly and repair. The knife is fully functional with properly locking pick and blade. The blade shows signs of use and sharpening along the edge. There’s surface oxidation and aging patina throughout the blade and pommel. The blade is maker stamped by Paul Weyersberg. The pommel still shows some traces of original finish, and more of the blued finish is found on the sides and on the release lever. The side pick is Waffen stamped, as shown. The wood is in great condition with some mild surface wear. The internal parts are matching numbered “33”.
