4/8/21 – This is an early type hunting Hirschfanger. Triple etched with a beautiful stag grip. 3 oval devices / embellishments on the grip. The crest of Thurigen is affixed to the clamshell, denoting a local hunting organization there. The blade has minimal oxidation and the etching is excellent and clean. Comes with a properly tied hunting / forestry portepee. The scabbard is early leather sewn with nickle fittings. The leather frog is period correct and in great condition.
