6/1/23 – This is a nice example of an early Erfurt Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1912. It is all matching, has the proper Imperial proofs, and has Erfurt proofs throughout. It has the proper early features: no stock lug and originally had no hold-open (one has been added). The gun itself has retained about 92% of its original finish with areas of wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the very front edges of the side rails. Some light spotty wear on the front strap. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there is dulling/light brown patina on the grip straps, some light spotty oxidation here and there, and some areas of minor pin-pricking, most noticeable on the side plate and on the barrel. Fitted with very nice matching-numbered wood grips. Comes with a mismatched magazine that has noticeable chipping in the wood base. The bore has good rifling, but there is very minor pin-pricking throughout.
