10/5/22 – This is a nice example of an early DWM Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1910. It is all matching and has the proper Imperial military proofs. It also has the appropriate early features, such as no stock lug on the back strap, and it did not originally have a hold-open (a hold open has since been added). There is a “5. D. 4. 6.” military unit marking on the front strap. The gun has retained about 95% of its original finish with minor wear around the muzzle, left side of the barrel, side plate, and side rails. While there isn’t a lot of actual finish loss, there is noticeable spotty oxidation on most of the gun. Comes with slightly worn matching-numbered grips (small chip in bottom corner of the left panel) and an un-numbered but Imperial-proofed magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout.
