3/2/23 – This is a very nice example of a rare DWM Model 1906 Navy Luger. This is a Second Issue example with “Gesichert” in the upper position and the safety in the lower position. All of the numbered parts are matching and it has the proper “Crown M” Navy proofs. However, the rear toggle link is not numbered and shows much more wear than the rest of the gun, so it may be a replacement. We believe that the finish on the barrel has been touched up. In any case, the gun has retained about 96% of its finish. There is minor wear on the high edges in general and on the side plate. Light scratchy wear on the front strap and light freckling on both grip straps. Fitted with very nice matching-numbered wood grips – small chip in the upper corner of the left grip panel. Comes with a mismatched Navy style magazine – the base is a little loose. The bore has good rifling with minor frosting throughout. The gun is functional, but the sear bar “sticks” a little bit when the trigger is released.
