Model 1906 Navy Luger

3/2/23 – This is a nice example of a DWM Model 1906 Luger. This is a First Issue example, but the safety has been modified. It has the proper “Crown M” Navy proofs, but the gun is mismatched. Most notably, the barrel has been replaced with a commercial Navy-style barrel with a “Germany” export marking. There is a “II. T. D. 199.” unit marking on the back strap. There is spotty, somewhat scratchy wear on the front strap and areas of wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the side rails. Some tiny dings and an area of minor pitting on the left side of the frame. Brown patina on the right side rail. Fitted with wood grips that are matching-numbered but fit a little loosely. There’s a chip in the upper corner of the left side, a hairline crack on the right side, and minor bruising on both. Comes with a blank bottom magazine. The bore is nice with good rifling. The grip safety has a weak spring and tends to “stick” a bit.
