3/26/24 – This is a rare DWM Model 1902 Luger carbine, chambered in .30 Luger. Approximately 2,500 were manufactured. One of the most unique features is the 11 3/4 inch carbine barrel with a detachable checkered forearm. The underside of the barrel is fitted with a small lug that engages a small spring actuator located inside the forearm that helps to cycle the heavier carbine barrel during firing. No other Luger has this feature. The top of the chamber is blank, and the front toggle has the standard DWM logo. It comes with a period-correct stock that is not matching. There is a small metal pin added to the underside of the barrel and two small metal spacers added to the lug of the wood stock to help it fit tighter on the gun. Adjustable rear sight has been replaced. Also comes with a mismatched magazine. The grips are mismatched. All numbered parts are matching. The finish on the gun rates roughly 80% with minor thinning throughout. Mint bore.
