10/27/23 – This unusual “Navy” Commercial M1904 Luger Pistol was the subject of a recent YouTube video where we discussed the pros and cons of the guns, along with some theories and conclusions on what this could be. At best this is a rare Commercial Navy Model 1904 (the “holy grail” for a Navy Luger collector). At worst this is a put together “fantasy luger”. See the link below for more details and our full video. The pistol is all matching with original finish that rates around 98% overall condition. There’s natural patina throughout the finish when inspected under a bright light, but very minimal finish loss is present. Straw parts are missing most of the straw finish, about 30% remains intact. Mechanically sound with smooth action. Comes with an original unmarked WW1 era Imperial Navy Luger magazine. Original grips that are in great condition with an excellent fit. Minty bore.
