1/30/23 – This is a nice example of a Walther PP sold in the commercial market in 1942. This one has an experimental lightweight duraluminum frame. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle N” proofs. It comes with a wartime finger extension magazine, a spare wartime flat bottom magazine, and a holster that is waffen-proofed, maker marked, and dated 1944 on the inside. There is light surface cracking in the leather of the top flap and a couple of small tears on the magazine pouch. The gun itself has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. There is muzzle wear and somewhat spotty wear along both sides of the slide – most noticeable on the right side. Some thinning and handling marks on the grip straps. Fitted with excellent period-correct black bakelite grips. The bore is like-new.
