4/11/22 – This is a nice example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It has a dual-tone finish and a rare slide made by the FN factory in Belgium. The gun is matching and has the proper “Waffen 135” military proofs. The gun has retained about 90% of its original finish. There is minor thinning on the front strap and the barrel. Wear along the high edges of the slide. While there isn’t much actual finish loss, there are areas of significant pitting on the barrel, right side of the slide, and on the trigger guard. Spotty heavy oxidation on the underside of the trigger guard and front strap. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct magazine. Excellent bore. De-cocker is functional.
