06/26/2024 – For sale is a Danzig Gewehr 98M made in 1917. This rifle started as a standard G98 infantry rifle but was converted to a G98m with a tangent rear sight during the Weimar Era. This rifle is in good condition overall but the bluing has dulled with age. There are no signs of active pitting or rust. The rifle is mismatched throughout. The stock does have a crack behind the tang and one at the rear sling swivel. The stock is dry and so there are tiny splits visible. The bore is dark but the worn rifling is visible with light. The rifle does not come with a cleaning rod and is import marked on the right side of the barrel.
