6/15/23 – This is an excellent condition example of a Danish Krag-Jørgensen made in 1890. This rifle is the first model in the line of Krag-Jøorgensens made. Rifle is in ~90% condition, with minor cosmetic blemishes on the metal and wood. The stock has a wide scratch in between the front and rear barrel bands. The stock also has a Unit-Marked disc. The metal on the rifle is well-aged with natural patina and what we consider “honest wear”. There is edge wear throughout, but no major blemishes, rust, or pitting. The rifle is matching on the receiver, barrel, loading gate, follower, stock, cocking piece, rear of the bolt housing, rear sight base, ladder, slider, and bayonet lug. The bolt does not match the rifle. The bore is completely plugged from the chamber to about six inches from the muzzle. This rifle is a non-functional antique, so no licensing required.
