1/23/24 – This is a custom sub-nose Walther P.38 from 1945. This is a mismatched, GI put-together gun from the end of the war. The barrel has been cut down to about 2.5″. AC 45 marked with the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs. There is only one proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it never left the factory before being captured. There is almost no actual bluing loss, but there is light freckling throughout. Fitted with excellent bakelite grips and a period-correct magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is some pin-pricking in the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
