4/19/23 – This is a nice example of a Mauser HSC sold in the commercial market in 1944. All matching with the proper “Eagle N” commercial proofs. It has retained roughly 80% of its finish. Wear around the muzzle and high edges in general. The majority of the finish loss is on both grip straps, where there is also spotty oxidation. Some dots of surface oxidation at the front right of the slide. Nice period-correct wood grips – a bruise on the right side. Comes with a period-correct half moon magazine – the toe of the mag is slightly bent upward. Minty bore.
