6/2/23 – This is a nice example of a WW2-era 1911A1. The frame was made by Colt and dates to 1943. The slide was made by Remington Rand and is a scarce second variation. WW2-era High Standard barrel (pakerized). There are “RIA” and “EB” markings on the right side of the frame, indicating this gun was reworked and refurbished at the Rock Island Arsenal. It has retained most of its parkerized finish, but there is minor thinning on the grip straps, very minor high edge wear, light spotty discoloration throughout, and tiny scuffs here and there. Fitted with nice reddish plastic grips and comes with a post-war magazine. Mint bore.
