7/21/22 – This is an excellent Army Colt Model 1917 revolver from World War I. All matching and original throughout, it has about 96-97% of the blue remaining. There’s minor wear on the cylinder, a patch of wear along the top of the frame and minor surface scratches on the barrel. While there isn’t much bluing loss, there is some patina and minor oxidation on the frame. Excellent, shiny bore. United States Property marked barrel. Very nice grips with matching serial hand written inside. The grips do have the initials ‘SL’ scratched lightly into each panel.
