11/19/21 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. It is properly “United States Property”-marked and has the correct “Eagle Head” military acceptance proof on the left side of the frame. It has an “S P” marked Springfield barrel. The entire gun has been arsenal-refinished and parkerized. No arsenal markings. Frame is WW1-era but slide is from WW2. It has retained virtually all of its new finish with just some very minor surface scuffs in the finish here and there. Comes with with WW2-era bakelite grips and a un-marked WW2-era magazine. The bore is mint.
