6/13/23 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1909 Revolver issued to the US military in 1911. It is matching, “United States Property” marked, and has the proper “RAC” and “FB” inspection initials. We believe the gun has an old re-blued finish. The majority of the wear is around the muzzle and on the top strap. Areas of spotty oxidation and pin-pricking here and there, most noticeable on the right side of the frame and on the grip straps. Fitted with period-correct wood grips – noticeable scratching and a couple of gouges on the right side. The bore is mostly shiny with strong rifling, but there are some small dots of surface oxidation here and there.
