6/7/23 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1909 Revolver issued to the US military in 1911. It is matching, “United States Property” marked, and has the proper “RAC” and “FB” inspection initials. We believe the gun has an old re-blued finish. The majority of the wear is on the grip straps, but there is also spotty wear on the right side of the frame, minor high edge wear in general, and thinning along the barrel. Spotty oxidation along the barrel as well. There are some grinding marks on the front strap and dark discoloration on the butt of the frame. Some minor pitting on the frame under the grips. There are a couple of notches at the right front of the frame and on the left side of the trigger guard. Fitted with very nice wood grips. The bore has decent rifling, but there is freckling and pin-pricking throughout.
