7/19/21 – This is a nice example of the desirable Colt Model 1902 pistol, that was manufactured in 1919 for issue to the US military. The military model can be distinguished by the rectangular shape to the frame, and the additional cartridge capacity in their magazines. This model was chambered for .38 ACP, and is very similar in design to the innovative M1900. This one has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the straps, but there is also minor wear around the high edges of the slide. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there is spotty oxidation and dark brown patina throughout. Comes with slightly worn original grips and one period-correct magazine. The rifling in the bore is slightly worn, and there is oxidation and pin-pricking throughout.
