5/18/23 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1878 revolver, chambered in .45 Colt. From the included factory letter, this gun has a factory-nickeled finish and was delivered to Hartley & Graham in New York on April 16, 1885. All matching. The gun itself has retained roughly 70% of its original nickeled finish with obvious spotty wear and spotty oxidation throughout. Some really nice fire bluing still visible on the small parts. Fitted with excellent hard rubber grips. The bore is excellent – shiny with great rifling. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
