9/9/20 – This is a Colt M1911A1 from World War II. It was manufactured in 1942 and only about 100,000 were produced that year, compared to over 750,000 in 1943. The original finish is very nice at about 95-96% with only minor muzzle and edge wear, and some dulling of the finish on the front strap. This M1911A1 is WB (Colonel Waldemar S. Broberg) inspector marked. Slide is matching numbered to frame. Correct Colt barrel with large ‘G’ under lug. Magazine marked ‘C-S’ on the bottom. Bore is shiny with strong rifling.
