3/2/22 – This is a Colt 1911A1 that was made in 1941 for the US Army. Only ~35,000 produced in 1941, and this is an earlier and more desirable blued example. RS inspector mark on frame with P on slide, barrel and frame. The pistol appears all original as it left the factory, with matching slide and frame. Proper Colt barrel with large ‘G’ under lug. The finish on the pistol is original throughout but shows notable thinning on front strap and at least minor wear/thinning/patina in most areas. Also has a few minor spots of pitting. Bore has good rifling but frost and freckling throughout. Original wood grips with minor handling wear. Original two-tone mag.
