10/27/23 – This is an original, antique Colt M1849 revolver. The revolver rates around 60% overall condition, which is better than most examples on the market. The frame has some traces of the case hardening throughout, but is mostly worn. The bluing on the cylinder and barrel is very nice, and rates around 70-80% with some mild finish loss and browning patina. Some fire blue color on the grips and small parts. Excellent wood grips and all matching numbers. Smooth action with great timing and firm lockup. Cap & ball revolver in .36 caliber with an early serial number. No FFL required.
