5/31/22 – This is a very high condition Colt Single Action Artillery Model from 1887. It is US marked and military cartouched. If you know these pistols you know they are rarely seen in such nice condition, and you also are aware that they are all mismatched numbers. The original finish is excellent. We would rate the barrel at 95% bluing and the cylinder at about 80%. The case hardening on the frame is mostly gone. The blued straps rate about 75%. Frame has proofed initials DFC. The action is very tight and cylinder locks up properly with 4 clicks. The right grips have the proper military catrouche with RAC on the bottom of the left grip. RAC proof also found on the cylinder and back strap. US military marking is on the left side of frame, and the barrel is Ainworth. Excellent bore.
