8/24/23 – This is an excellent example of a Colt Model 1911A1. Most of the parts are WW2-era, but the frame is a rare transitional from 1924. Unfortunately, it has been re-blued. The rest of the gun is parkerized. It also has a post-war Colt barrel. The gun has retained about 93% of its finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle and around the high edges in general. Some light brown patina on the grip straps and some tiny dings on the front strap. Fitted with excellent WW2-era plastic grips and comes with a WW2-era “R” marked magazine. Mint bore.
