4/11/22 – This is a nice Colt 1911A1 that was made in 1943 and issued to the US Army. The finish is original but the slide and frame are mismatched, less than 1,000 digits off from each other. It’s not an arsenal re-work example but presumably didn’t leave the factory together, even though the finish is congruent throughout. Standard high edge wear on slide and front of frame, but largest area of wear is the front strap. Colt barrel with large ‘G’ marking. Bore has strong rifling but a little freckling in the grooves. Excellent grips. Postwar, unmarked mag.
