6/29/21 – This is a nice, honest example of a Colt M1911 from 1917. According to the accompanying archive letter, this gun was shipped to Springfield Armory in December of that year as part of a 1,200 pistol order. The pistol has a nice profile but notably thin straps. Proper ‘P H’ marked barrel with a strong bore, just has minor frost and slightly smoothed rifling. Nice original grips with no major defects. Two-tone magazine.
