9/23/21 – This is a rare and highly desirable Colt 1911 that went to the U.S. Navy in 1913. There were only about 16,000 Navy-issued 1911s from 1912-18, and only 6,000 in 1913. The major parts such as slide and frame are correct/original but the finish was restored at some point after the war. It does not have any arsenal re-work marks, but the barrel was also replaced at some point as the intertwined PH marking was used later in WW1. Strong, shiny bore. Excellent grips with only minor handling wear. Two-tone magazine with lanyard ring.
