7/21/23 – This is a minty example of a Springfield M1 Garand sold through the CMP Program. The receiver dates to January of 1942. Springfield barrel dated April of 1956. The bolt breech bolt is IHC marked. Both the barrel and stock are DOD marked. The gun comes with its original CMP hang tag with matching serial number. The metal parts have retained nearly all of their finish. Minty wood furniture with just a few tiny dings here and there. There appears to be a letter “M” written on the wrist of the stock. Mint bore. Muzzle reading: 1+. Throat reading: 2+.
