7/5/24 – This is an original WW2 Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. The badge is later wartime production made from non-magnetic bronzed feinzink (zinc). Great details throughout with natural patina. Original, fully functional back pin with a maker stamp just below the hinge by Adolf Schwerdt. The hook at the base of the reverse had some white residue, which we carefully removed (see photos). Measures ~62mm tall and ~42mm wide (to the edge of the tank track).
