10/20/22 – This is a nice example of a British No 4 Mk 2 Rifle manufactured by Fazakerley in June of 1952. It is mostly matching, but the original serial number on the bolt appears to have been ground, and a new serial number was electro pencil-numbered. The new number is not matching. There are import marks on the left side of the receiver and left side of the trigger guard. There is what appears to be a small rack number plate nailed into the underside of the butt stock. The gun is in nice condition overall, but there is spotty wear and chipping in its black painted finish throughout. The stock is nice with minor dings and handling marks here and there and a streak of white paint on the right side of the butt stock. The bore is excellent with strong rifling.
