12/27/23 – This is a Mauser M48 version of the K98 built during the 1940’s in Nazi-occupied Yugoslavia. The rifle has all the telltale characteristics of a Mitchell’s Mauser K98. All numbered parts are matching to the receiver, and the blonde stock has been heavily sanded and re-stamped with a matching serial number. The stock has soft wood that’s in excellent condition with a very attractive look. The metal has been refinished, leaving a dark blued color that’s beautiful and consistent throughout. There’s some mild surface wear on the underside of the trigger guard and some very minor muzzle wear, but otherwise the metal is in 99%+ condition. Mint bore. The rifle is packaged together in the original “Mitchell’s Mauser” box with original accessories such as bayonet with scabbard, leather bayo frog, lanyard, and field cleaning kit. It also comes with an owner’s manual and a serialized certificate of authenticity from Mitchell’s Mauser. Import mark on the barrel.
